Welcome Our New Engineer

Beckett & Raeder, Inc. (BRI) is pleased to welcome Christopher DeGood to our team as a Senior Associate Engineer. He is working out of our Traverse City office.

After studying Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan, Christopher earned a Masters in Project Management from Northwestern University. He worked in suburban Chicago until relocating to Traverse City in 2002, where has lived and worked ever since. Interested in preserving the natural beauty of the area and also helping cyclists and pedestrians have the safest experience, Christopher served as President and Member of the Board of Directors for TART Trails. He is currently a member of the Traverse City Rotary Club, on the Board of Directors of Rotary Camps and Services, and also an Ex Officio Member of the Rotary Charities Board of Directors.

Prior to joining BRI, Christopher worked for AECOM where he specialized in institutional site development for hospital and education facilities. In the northwest region of Michigan, he provided expertise in the master planning, hospital expansion, and green stormwater infrastructure at Munson Hospital in Traverse City.

So far, Christopher’s BRI project work spans the state—from the new regional Psychiatric Hospital in Caro, Michigan, to the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Munson Hospital in Traverse City, just to name a few.

Christopher has a true desire to partner with clients through all phases of a project—working towards the best possible result for all involved.

In his free time, Christopher enjoys cycling, camping, winter sports, and spending time outdoors with his family.
