LEED & Sustainable Project Experience
With the formation of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 1993 and its establishment of the LEED® Rating System in 1998, the concept of ‘green’ building has gained greater public awareness than ever before and is considered a relatively recent trend in the design industry. However, the principles of sustainable design that the LEED program promotes have actually existed in the planning and design professions since long before the establishment of the USGBC. Beckett & Raeder, Inc. has incorporated sustainable design principles on countless projects over its five decades of practice. With a staff of professionals experienced in a variety of ‘green’ design and planning techniques, as well as LEED Accredited Professionals on staff, BRI continues to integrate sustainable design practices on projects that seek LEED Certification, as well as on projects that do not. Following is a list of our most recent projects whose owners specifically set out to build ‘green’ or to seek LEED Certification.
