In conjunction with the removal of the Mill Creek Dam and bridge, the Village of Dexter commissioned Beckett & Raeder, Inc. to assist with the design of the new Main Street Bridge project. The aesthetic and character of the new bridge was designed to be consistent with existing and ongoing site improvements within the Village. Design work encompassed railings, piers, lighting and fixture selection, special pavement, facade and support treatment, sidewalks on and under the bridge, a river overlook and plaza, and landscape planting.
