The most recent Readmond Township Parks & Recreation Plan was adopted in 2026, permitting the Township to remain eligible for MDNR grants through 2030. Included in this plan were chapters on the Township's community profile and administrative structure, as well as chapters fora recreation inventory, natural features analysis, community engagement summary, and action plan. Community input for this plan was gathered through a public open house and two public forums. A community survey from 2024 also offered valuable community input to inform the plan.

The three Township-owned and operated facilities are extensively evaluated in terms of their existing conditions and future needs in the recreation inventory of the plan. Additionally, the plan provides a detailed analysis of the Township's natural features, including map-based and textual analyses of the Township's topography, wetlands, airsheds, viewsheds, and wildlife. These analyses, which go beyond the MDNR's requirements for a park & recreation plan, emphasize the importance of preserving the Township's natural and recreational destinations and additionally provide guidance on how to the Township can successfully accomplish this. The final component of the plan – the action plan – ties together community data, public input, and planning best practices to provide the Township with action items to best protect, enjoy, and support the Township's natural and recreational assets in the near future.
