The City of Lapeer, Michigan commissioned Beckett & Raeder, Inc. to design and construct the Lapeer Linear Park.
An abandoned rail right-of-way through the community serves as the basic framework for the linear park. From this central spine pathways connect to community parks and natural areas within the City.
The project involved the construction of pathways through woodlands, forested wetlands, and tributaries. Components of the pathway were constructed with asphalt paths and boardwalks over sensitive areas.
This project was financed in part with funds through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
