Macomb Township Waldenburg Park
Waldenburg Park is located in Macomb Township within the Clinton
River Watershed and is located in the floodway and floodplain. The
Park includes a mixture of active and passive recreation activities.
The project site has a variety of natural features including mature
woodlands, wetlands, and meadows, and varied topography. Efforts
to balance recreation activities involved close coordination with
state permitting agencies and local land development regulations.
Park and recreation elements include a children's play structure
with special surface material paving, basketball courts, volleyball
courts, custom picnic pavilion and restroom facility, bituminous
walkways, boardwalks, bridges, and wetland overlooks.
Other components include field stone walls and piers, ornamental
fence and railings, trash receptacles, bike loops, landscaping,
and irrigation.
